An eclectic collection, with influences ranging from gospel to 80's electro-pop, from British-style blues to Memphis-style soul. Live rhythm section. Arrangements ranging from intimate piano-vocal to full band with horn section, backup vocals, choir and/or strings.
On my previous albums, I've sung all the lead vocals. For this project, I decided to call on several wonderful Los Angeles-based singers to do guest lead vocals on many of the songs. Also unlike my previous albums, I co-wrote half the songs with my friend and co-producer Ned Albright, rather than writing the whole album by myself. So, this is the most collaborative project I've done to date.

I'm happy to announce that work on “Voices”, my third album, is finished. It'll be up on this site, and on all the other usual online places, within the next 2 weeks. Yay!
1/2/23:
Happy New Year to all. Work has begun on my third album. The all-star rhythm section of Dean Parks, Leland Sklar and Herman Matthews have finished recording the foundation of the album, at Kevin Jarvis' Sonic Boom Room studio. Overdubs start tomorrow, with the wonderful Greg Leisz. Everything is sounding fantastic so far! This album will prominently feature guest lead vocals by Kim Yarbrough, Gia Ciambotti and Ned Albright. Ned also co-wrote a number of songs on the album with me. Watch this space for project updates.
